Reviews

In this sections you will find my reviews on products I have tried. Most of the time, I will have a YouTube video to coincide with the review; however, there may be some items I feel are unrelated or just random and choose to post about it here! Thanks

Well, I have nothing but good to say so far about Mark Cosmetics. Their website is also really wonderful. It’s easy to find things and make purchases. There are also several videos you can watch about different products and even learn about becoming a representative for the company. Make sure you check out the website! http://shop.meetmark.com/shop/default.asp

The first product I purchased was Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara $6.50 in the color Raven. First of all, the wand is very big. I mean….BIG. It’s a little scary opening that for the first time and realizing this huge brush is going to be near my eyeball! ha But I have used the Lash Blast mascara from Cover Girl, and that too has a big wand and I love it. So, the very first thing I noticed was that it even for such a big brush it did not put down way too much product. It’s actually perfect. The second thing was that it seperated my lashes wonderfully! It gave them a kind of whispy feel and look. For me personally, I actually prefer a more dramatic look so this mascara is not my favorite, but it’s definitely worth the money. My next purchase was Get In Line Hook Up Liquid Waterproof Eyeliner (that’s a mouth full!) $5.50 in Painted Black. What drew me to this product was the fact that LC aka Lauren Conrad from The Hills is their celebrity promoter and this is one of her “Favs”. I’m a big sucker for things like this and the price was right so I went for it. For some reason, the wand seems a little long to me. I like shorter wands because it seems to give me more control. The consistency and look was awesome! It was fairly simple to create that “wing” and keep a very thin line right at the lash line.

The Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss $5.50 in Sweet Talk was my next item. This lip gloss is absolutely perfect. It has a perfect consistency that is not too sticky but also thick enough to have some staying power. It does have some shimmers but it is not overwhelming. This particular color did not have much pay off at all, but I actually prefer that. This just gives a great shiny coat and subtle shimmer for a perfect summer look. Will definitely be purchasing more!

The Jewel Eau de Toilette $20 came next. This 1.5oz bottle is just what I was looking for. Mark’s website describes the scent as ” Succulent fruits and sensual Casablanca lily mingle with warm macchiato, liquid caramel and vanilla for a precious scent that’s as decadent as it is captivating”….and I couldn’t have said it better. If you like sweet, yummy smelling perfumes then I would highly suggest purchasing this perfume. Only a few sprays in the morning will take you through the day. And although it is very sweet, I don’t consider it over-powering. Plus, the bottle is super cute!

Last but not least, my final purchase was the Jewel Body Cream $12.00. This 6.7oz container will probably last me years!! I could not believe how much product was actually in it. Paired with the Jewel perfume, this makes a great long last summer scent. This almost reminds me of a body butter because it is pretty thick but very very creamy. I prefer creams and lotions in squeezable tubes; however, that will not stop me from using this cream.
